Endowment Funds
An Endowment Fund is a lasting gift. It is a seed we plant for the future. Endowment funds provide income for immediate use while
the principal remains intact and grows. The Foundation is a responsible vehicle for Tzedakah. Purposeful giving embraces the best of Jewish values and our heritage. As a permanent resource, your endowment gift helps to ensure that our Jewish community will have the funds needed to sustain and enrich the lives of future generations.

Unrestricted Endowment Funds
Annual campaigns can no longer shoulder the entire burden of the financial well being of the Jewish community. Federation and Foundation must join together to achieve this goal. The Unrestricted Endowment Fund is a permanent financial resource which provides a steady and growing stream of dollars to guarantee our community’s response to the future needs of a changing Jewish community.

Restricted Endowment Funds
As a donor, you may restrict the use of your fund to a specific program, agency, organization or synagogue within the Jewish community.

Each year the chosen recipient will receive income from your gift to continue its work. Restricted Endowment Funds serve the needs of
your designated organization and your fund continues to grow. Your gift sustains them and your legacy lives on for generations to come.

Field of Interest Endowment Funds
You may prefer to support a general field of Jewish communal activities such as education, youth, the elderly or social services in Israel. Education is even more vital in helping us preserve our Jewish identity. More services for older adults are needed as this segment of our population grows. Israel, isolated among hostile neighbors and struggling with economic burdens, counts on our aid to maintain vital human services. Each year your Field of Interest Endowment fund will support programs in your area of interest. You can be assured that your gift will be there to sustain that group into the future.

Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment – PACE
A PACE fund is used to endow your gift to the Syracuse Jewish Federation’s annual campaign. Every year the income generated from your PACE fund is donated to the Syracuse Jewish Federation’s annual campaign in your name as an everlasting tribute. You will be forever recognized in the annual listing of donors to the campaign. This is an important vehicle to ensure the stability and growth of our community’s annual campaign.

Agency, Organization & Synagogue Endowment Funds
As a central endowment resource, the Foundation can provide the same high level of service and value to community institutions that it brings to individuals. Partnering with community organizations to professionally administer and develop endowment funds, the Foundation can assist them in providing permanent resources to meet their current and future needs. The Foundation offers technical assistance, marketing services and investment administration for the present and future endowments of agencies, organizations and synagogues.
